Coates Summer Break Camp

Spend your summer exploring the outdoors, participating in healthy activities, and playing with your friends in a wholesome and structured program. Our program follows National Afterschool Association healthy eating and physical activity standards as well as Virginia childcare standards. In addition, staff will lead campers on various fieldtrips during the summer. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided as well as lunches. Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks and lunch. Ages 5-12. Call (434) 799-5150.

Outdoor Recreation Camps

Outdoor Adventure Camp I
Prepare for an exciting outdoor day-camp consisting of hiking, kayaking, zip lining, high ropes adventures and climbing wall challenges.This camp will also include arts and crafts, environmental education, and outdoor games. This fast paced camp is for children ages 8-14. Register by June 14. Call (434) 799-5150.

Kayak Camp
Partake in an exhilarating week of kayaking. Teens will learn basic kayaking skills and techniques, safety protocols, and explore different sections of the Dan River. This camp is for ages 10-16. Register by June 28. Call (434) 799-5150.

Health & Wellness Camps

Health Fitness Camps
Experience fitness in an exciting way! Campers will be exposed to a variety of traditional and non-traditional fitness activities. Lunch will be provided. Children will show off their culinary skills, preparing afternoon snack. Children ages 11-13. Call (434) 799-5150.

Nine Dimensions of Wellness Unplugged Camps
Camper will experience the nine dimensions of wellness, which are emotional, physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental, occupational, creativity, and financial. Each day teens will learn and experience each dimension to give them tools and knowledge that will help in their present life and future. This camp will include fun competitive activities, field trips and many educational opportunities. For ages 11-13. Call (434) 799-5150.
