SUMMER READING 2022

June 1 - July 31

"Read Beyond the Beaten Path" with the library this summer!  Avoid Summer Slide while school is out by participating in the library's Reading Challenge. Children and adults of all ages can read and complete activities to earn prizes. A library card is not required to participate, but you’ll want one to check out the books you choose for your challenge!  Early registration begins May 23.

Ages 0 - 109

BEANSTACK

Record your reading progress and complete activities to reach your completion goal. Activities involve visiting the library’s StoryWalk Trail, camping with friends, having fun with your family, and more.  You can choose to log your progress either on the Beanstack Tracker website or app or a paper log which can be claimed at any of the library service desks.

If you are using the paper log, check off the minutes you’ve spent reading each day and record each of the activities you complete.  You can pick up your log when you register for the reading challenge at any of the library service desks.

If you are using the Beanstack Tracker app or website, log in to your Beanstack account (or set one up for free) and register for the age-appropriate Summer Reading Challenge 2022.

CLAIM YOUR PRIZES

When you have completed the reading challenge, bring your paper log back to the library (if applicable). See library staff at any of the library service desks to claim your prizes.  Participants must be present to claim their prizes; children’s prizes will not be given to parents without the child present.

 Maple the Moose Sleep Away Camp

MAPLE THE MOOSE GOES TO SLEEPAWAY CAMP

Sign out our stuffed Summer Reading mascot Maple the Moose for a sleepover at your home this summer. Pick up Maple and his backpack full of fun activities for you and Maple to enjoy together.

- family games

- and more!

Reserve Maple for a two day moose-loan using the links below.

  • Please register your family for no more than one week.
  • Please handle Maple and his kit with care. 
  • Maple the Moose will be cleaned after each home visit to avoid spreading germs unnecessarily. 
  • Pick up and return your kit at the 2nd floor service desk.
