Do I have to show identification at the polls?

Yes, all Virginia voters are required to show acceptable identification when they go to the polls to vote. You can use your Virginia driver’s license, DMV issued photo identification card, valid United States passport, valid employee photo identification card, valid Virginia college or university student photo identification card or other government issued photo identification card. You may also use a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, voter registration notice, or other government document containing the name and address of the voter.
