The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides benefits to supplement the food budget of eligible households. The program helps individuals and families obtain a nutritionally adequate diet. Benefits are based on income, resources, shelter costs, and other criteria such as age, disability, and student status.
Participants must register with the SNAPET (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training). Unless an exception is met, continued eligibility is based on a work / training environment.
