The Code for the City of Danville requires every resident owner of a moped to pay a license fee of $25 and obtain a moped license from the Treasurer's Office. The moped license is valid for the assigned moped as long as the resident owner retains ownership of the moped.
Any person who operates a moped on the public streets of the city without a license issued by the Treasurer's Office shall be guilty of a traffic infraction and subject to a fine of no more than $50.
