The Inspections, Planning and Engineering Divisions along with the Information Technology Department have been involved in the switch to CityView Software. New features of the online program will greatly enhance the permitting process.
Benefits of the CityView program include color permits, plain paper copy versus the old dot matrix printer paper which was a special order and many different types of real time searches just to name a few. All documents will be stored in laserfische cutting down on paper copies stored in files.
ePermits is now live on the web. The ePermits web site will enable any citizen to search permit, planning applications and maintenance code cases from any computer.
For contractors or home owners willing to perform their own work, information on permits, plan reviews and planning applications are just a click away. Once you are registered with ePermits this will allow you to check the status of applications, submit applications for permits, check on the status of inspections and check on planning applications - all from the comfort of home or office.
After logging in contractors and home owners can check the status of applications or permits they have submitted for review. When construction plans are going to be submitted for our staff to review, the plan review payment will be collected at that time. Once all of the reviews are approved and the permit fees are paid, then the permit can be issued.
Please be patient with us as we learn to master our new software program. Ideas in making things smoother for you include:
-Making sure we have all of your contractor and tradesman information
-Providing your contractor bond if you have a Class B or C Contractor License.
-Providing good contact information so we can contact you.
-Providing a plat plan for additions or accessory structures.
