[ARCHIVED] Second Structure Fire at 25 Oakland Avenue

The Danville Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 25 Oakland Avenue on 3/15/13 at 2032 hours. The first arriving unit found the house fully involved in fire. The attack of the fire was defensive (exterior only) for the duration of the incident. This was the second fire at this location in less than 24 hours. Units responded just after midnight to the first fire. Due to the extensive damage from the first incident, DFD personnel did not enter the structure. Two hose lines were used to extinguish the fire. Radiated heat caused minor damage to a house next door. There were no injuries at the incident.
The DFD Fire Marshal's Office ruled the fire an arson. There have been no arrests at this time but the investigation continues.
The DFD responded with three engines, one ladder, and two support vehicles. 15 fire personnel were on the scene for 2 1/2 hours.
