The Danville Fire Department was dispatched to 543 Ingram St. this morning at 3:20 am to a reported house fire. The first unit arriving reported heavy smoke coming from the structure. Fire crews quickly knocked the fire down in the crawl space and in the hall and bedroom. A search was done and no one was found inside. A total of 18 personnel along with three Engines, one Ladder Truck and 4 support and staff units worked the scene for just over 3 hours. No one was at home and we have been unable to contact any of the occupants. The Fire Marshal's Office investigated the blaze and the cause was determined to be arson. The Fire Marshal will follow-up on the case.
No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident. The house sustained moderate damage to the hall and one bedroom.
