[ARCHIVED] Danville schedules activities for citizens to Get Out and Play

City Council recently proclaimed July as Parks and Recreation Month in Danville in honor of National Parks and Recreation Month.

“This month, we want the citizens of Danville to get out and play,” said Bill Sgrinia. “We have a schedule full of events and programs for the whole family to enjoy, but more importantly, we know that nearly three in 10 adults in the U.S. do not spend time outside on a daily basis, and of those who do, almost half spend less than 30 minutes in the fresh air. We want to provide opportunities for our community to break that cycle.”

This year’s theme is Get Out and Play. In honor of that theme, Danville Parks and Recreation is inviting everyone to attend these upcoming events.
