At around three this afternoon, a call was reported of a vehicle into a building on Pendleton Rd. Multiple Engines, a Ladder, and Life Saving crew answered quickly, and on arrival found the car had gone completely into the home through a brick wall and stopped partially into the rear brick wall, doing heavy structural damage to the home. Crews worked to extricate the driver as Technical Rescue Team members stabilized the structure. A small fire was extinguished by fire personnel on the scene during the extrication. After the driver was removed from the car and moved to a safe outside area , she was evaluated by members of the rescue squad and police, and found to be in good condition. The utilities were turned off for safety, and the home secured.
