Danville Parks and Recreation has extended the deadline for anyone interested in entering a display into the Community Holiday Light Show. Registration forms now must be submitted by Friday, Nov. 28, to secure a spot in the show.
The light show will be the first-ever drive through event of its kind at Ballou Park and will be held December 15 – 27.
The show is open to anyone from small families and groups of friends to large civic groups.
Displays can be purchased or handmade, inflatables will not be allowed, however. There is no cost to enter and the city will provide power. Set up will be available starting November 24 and must be completed by December 10.
During the two-week event, the public will be given the opportunity to vote on their favorite. A donation will be made to the winners’ choice of non-profit. Any eligible non-profit must be registered with the event in order to receive the monetary award.
