On Friday, March 11, 2011, Danville Police Chief Philip Broadfoot will present three Saved By The Belt Awards to local residents. All were wearing seat belts during motor vehicle crashes, which occurred in the City of Danville. The details of the crashes and recipients will be announced on March 11 at the Danville Municipal Building in City Council chambers at 2:00 pm. In addition to these awards, nine Danville Police Officers will be recognized for their efforts in traffic enforcement for the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police Law Enforcement Challenge program.
