The Danville Police Department is hosting an open house of our new headquarters on November 5, 2022, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Everyone is invited to attend. This community event allows our citizens to ask questions, speak with police officers, and receive a tour of our new state of the art headquarters. Light refreshments will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. We are focused on our commitment to develop positive, authentic relationships with the community.
We will have a recruitment officer on site at this event. Our starting salary is $45,333 with a $5,000 sign on bonus. There is no residency requirement. We have a liberal beard and tattoo policy. A take home vehicle is available. There is a 10% pay increase for 2 or more years of college. There are 15 ½ days off with two weeks of earned paid leave (annual and sick leave).
