Danville Parks and Recreation is hosting its inaugural Harvest Moon Festival from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, in Ballou Park. The event will feature music, food trucks, and fall-themed games and events, including a Scarecrow Spectacular.
The Scarecrow Spectacular consists of a display of scarecrows built by community organizations. Festivalgoers can stroll through the Scarecrow Spectacular and vote on their favorite display.
Shop from local craft vendors and get a jump start on holiday gifts.
Activities will move inside the Ballou Park Recreation Center if it rains. The Dan River Region Association of Realtors is sponsoring the event.
