The Danville Police Department continues to investigate an accident where a pedestrian was struck last week.
At approximately 8:20 pm on 1-17-12 a 21-year-old male was crossing Kemper Road coming from the area of Danville Community College when he was struck by a vehicle. After impact he landed in the roadway and was subsequently struck by a second vehicle while he was down in the roadway. The second vehicle pulled over briefly but left the scene before police arrived.
This vehicle is described as a dark colored mini-van or SUV.

The victim remains at Duke University in the Intensive Care Unit but is improving.
