The city of Danville will hold a community meeting on Wednesday, May 2, to provide an update on the River District streetscape project. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Community Market on Craghead Street.
Land Planning & Design Associates will present its current design plans, which are about 75 percent complete.
LPDA is a landscape architecture and planning consulting firm that was awarded the contract to lead the design process for the streetscape project. The company has met with local stakeholders throughout the design process, with previous meetings held on Jan. 18, Feb. 15 and March 6.
The first phase of the project focuses on Main Street from Craghead to Floyd streets and Union Street from Main to Spring streets.
