The Office of Economic Development at the city of Danville announces that Anne Moore-Sparks has resigned from her position as project manager to join Gateway Health Alliance.
Moore-Sparks has been working primarily on the revitalization efforts of the River District. Her resignation is effective May 18.
Jeremy Stratton, director of economic development, said, “We will certainly miss Anne’s passionate commitment to the River District project. She has been involved in downtown and Tobacco Warehouse District projects for eight years as Danville has transitioned from a tobacco and textile economy to a more diversified and high tech economy.”
Moore-Sparks will serve as client account manager at Gateway Health, which is a medical benefits management company that is headquartered in Danville. Gateway specializes in full service administration of group medical plans as well as wellness and disease management programs.
“I am leaving with a heavy heart, knowing that the River District is a key to the future prosperity of the entire region,” Moore-Sparks said. “This move for me, however, enables me to work in a position that I believe will suit my talents and interests in a most exciting and challenging way. I love customer service, and my new job will be centered on servicing the customers of Gateway Health Alliance.”
Stratton said the commitment of the city and its economic development activities will continue to be strong and have the attention required to make the revitalization of the River District succeed. “We are all indebted to downtown merchants, stakeholders and new faces who will chart the future of this district,” he said.
