Two teens are in custody following the burglary of a downtown business yesterday evening.
At approximately 10:34 pm yesterday a Danville Police Officer noticed that one of the glass doors at the Zinc Total Salon on Craghead Street was broken out. The business owner responded and reported that property had been stolen from inside. Officers began checking the area and stopped two males near the Danville Science Center. Property matching that stolen from the business was discovered in their possession. One of the males was identified as Malcolm Xzendria Javal Gregory, age 19 of Danville. The 16-year-old male’s name is being withheld due to his age.
Both were charged with Breaking and Entering, Petit Larceny, and Malicious Damage as a result. Gregory was also served with an outstanding warrant for unauthorized use. He is currently being held in the Danville City Jail under a $25,000 secured bond. The 16-year-old is currently being held at the W.W. Moore Jr. Detention facility.
The Danville Police Department continues to investigate other incidents of burglaries in the area.
