A North Carolina woman was arrested early this morning for impersonating a nurse at Danville Regional Medical Center.
At approximately 3:20 am this morning Danville Police responded to DRMC for a report of a woman impersonating a nurse and trespassing on hospital property. The investigation revealed that the woman portrayed herself as a traveling nurse who had been sent to DRMC to help out. Hospital staff became suspicious and were not able to verify her claims or certifications. They subsequently called the police. As a result Lendi Annette Williamson, age 22, of Pelham, NC was charged with the following offenses:
VA State Code 18.2-119 (Trespassing)
VA State Code 18.2-174.1 (Impersonating Medical Services Personnel)
VA State Code 18.2-186.3 (Identity Theft)
Williamson was transported to the Danville City Jail and subsequently released on a $1,500 secured bond.
