Traffic patterns in the River District will be interrupted on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10:30 a.m. to noon for the Danville Park and Recreation’s first annual Dirty Dan Dash.
The Dirty Dan Dash is a 3.7-mile race with a combination of obstacles spread throughout the River District and along the Riverwalk Trail.
During the race, Parks and Recreation will close portions of Bridge, Craghead and Lynn streets to vehicle traffic.
Parks and Recreation also will close Loyal, Wilson and Newton streets for the race in order to protect runners. Detours will be clearly marked.
The Newton’s Landing parking will be accessible through the Community Market parking lot.
