The Riverview Rotary Christmas Parade drew approximately 4,500 spectators Saturday evening, according to Danville Parks and Recreation officials. The parade, which was held Saturday, Dec. 8, was the largest in recent years, with 166 groups participating.
Temperatures were mild this year for the parade, which began at the intersection of Main and Broad and traveled on Main, turning right on South Ridge Street across from the U.S. Post Office. The parade ended in the parking lot of Galileo High School.
